>Why is Goh Meng Seng not mentoring Nicole Seah?
Posted by Barrie on May 23, 2011
>I am sure Nicole meant no ill when she asked for donations and…oopsie…gave her personal bank account number instead. This is not the first time she boo-booed. Here’s an instance where she made a controversial statement in her Facebook just before elections – Nicole Seah’s Facebook – her inexperience shows
Like in the previous case, Goh Meng Seng did not advise her. However, this appears to be worse. It involves money.
Nicole Seah may be a bright, young and upcoming politician. But she has to learn a lot about the political world.
In this case, I think Goh Meng Seng needs to be kicked in the butt twice for every one time Nicole gets kicked in hers. After all, aren’t seniors supposed to mentor their newbies?

>All experienced politicians (and well trained ones too) know that one of the cardinal rules in politics is this.
Never, never, NEVER talk about a controversial topic if you can, just before Elections.
The only ones who do talk about it are the ones who do want to create controversy, or those who are not trained to know that the above is a big no-no. Read the rest of this entry »

>My Hat off to Nicole Seah
Posted by Barrie on April 22, 2011
>If you thought that 24 year old Nicole Seah would not be mature enough to handle the press, right after kiddish 27 year old Tin Pei Ling showed her immaturity, you’re wrong.
See with your own eyes how Nicole handles the pesky press…
Fresh-faced Nicole Seah generates buzz (21 April 2011)
I like the way she handles some very dicey questions.
3:35 min -
Question: Why contest at Marine Parade GRC when pitting against Ms Tin Pei Ling is going to draw attention away from national issues?
Listen to how she talks about the Marine Parade GRC itself, and her intimate understanding due to her past links over there – minus the Tin Pei Ling bait thrown at her. Very mature, very competent in handling the press.
4:40 min -
Question – Netizens who spotted vulgarities on your Twitter feed are now talking about it. What’s your response to that?
Again, watch how Nicole handles that bait. She doesn’t hide, she doesn’t blame. Unlike PAPpies who will deflect such talk and direct those attacks back to the “talkers”. Also note that she gamely answers the question saying that she will handle this herself , even when Goh Meng Seng appeared to attempt to interject. This IMO, shows her maturity, unlike you know who, who had to have half a dozen PAPpy seniors to defend her.
6:50 min -
Question – What is your greatest regret in life?
I like this one best. She answers like a pro! Don’t wanna tell you what it is. Just view it yourself. After you have seen and heard how she answered that, compare that to Tin Pei Ling’s regret that she did not bring her parents to Universal Studios. As if she can’t do that now.
My Conclusion -
Nicole certainly has the maturity and calibre to be an MP. With her youth and drive, she would certainly go far if she wins the election at Marine Parade. I think she deserves a chance to show her mettle. I hope Marine Parade constituents will vote her team in.
After all, besides childish Tin Pei Ling, Kayu Goh has shown that he has already done all he could. He can’t do anything more than he already has. He has exhausted his usefulness at Marine Parade.
Why not give Nicole and her team a try?

Nicole Seah. Don’t let her age or looks deceive you. She has shown that she is able to handle the pesky press – the first mandatory step towards a successful political career.
