Israel’s cowardice exposed again

Posted by Barrie on February 19, 2012

For all the trumpet blowing and chest thumping Israel makes, sounding as if they are the meanest military force in the Mid East, when it comes to the real deal, Israel hides its tail between its legs like a beaten dog.

Iranian warships dock at Syrian port after crossing Suez Canal

Two Iranian warships docked Saturday at a Syrian port, the Iranian broadcaster Press TV reported.

The vessels – a destroyer and a supply ship – are to provide maritime training to Syria’s navy under an agreement between the two countries, according to the report.

Wazzat again? Baaaad Iran sent two military ships across the Med Sea to baaaad Syria and Israel did nuthin? Where’s that usual table banging and relentless war cries from Israel now?

Didn’t Israel hijack a Turkish civilian Flotilla like bandits in the Med Sea which was on route to Gaza to deliver civilian aid? Didn’t Israel kill those on board like terrorists? And all because the civilian flotilla was delivering humanitarian aid to Gazans? See these links:

Links on Massacre on the Flotilla

ST Forum – Attack on the Flotilla

Let’s get the facts straight. So when a Turkish civilian flotilla was sent to Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid, Israel hijacked them in international waters like bandits and killed its crew like terrorists. When Iran sent military ships to Syria (and Iran is known to have armed Syria as well as Hezbollah in Lebanon, Syria’s neighbour) chest thumping Israel runs miles away and dares not even approach the two military ships!

This is not the first time Israel runs away from Iran’s military ships. It is the second time. Here’s the first. Coward Israel shows its true colours. Yep, again two military ships from Iran sailing across the Med Sea, right in front of Israel’s borders – and coward Israel, who killed civvies on the Turkish flotilla, took no action!

But wait a minute. Right after that first incident where Iran’s ships sailed across the Med Sea, another civilian flotilla again tried to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. Guess what? It was intercepted by Israel again! Coward Israel stops humanitarian ships…again

So what does this tell the world? Here’s a timeline of the events that took place in the Med Sea.

Timeline -

1. May 2010 – Israel hijacks Turkish Civilian flotilla delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza in international waters and kills civilian crew. Israel even crows that this was to show its miitary dominance and to reclaim its “invincibility status” in the aftermath of its humiliating loss to Hezbollah in 2006.

2. Feb 2011 – Iran sends two military ships through the Suez, and sails across the Med Sea which is the very sea the Turkish Flotilla was hijacked. Iran is known to have supplied arms to Syria and Hezbollah, the very guerilla group that humiliated and defeated mighty Israel in the Israel-Hezbollah War 2006. That was discussed quite in detail over here: Fallacy of the Mean Israeli Defence Force – Part 2. Coward Israel took no action against the two Iranian military ships when they sailed across the Med Sea.

3. Nov 2011 – Israel stops civilian humanitarian ships again! What the heck?

4. Feb 2012 – Another two Iranian warships sail across the Med Sea. And again coward Israel does nothing!

My Conclusion -

Although Israel boasts and crows about its military might, it has actually nothing more than a heart of a mouse. That is why although Israel wants to have Iran bombed, it does not dare do that itself. It keeps goading US to do it for them.

Bring on civilian ships delivering humanitarian aid, and Israel will roar like a lion, attack like a vicious snake and tear the flotilla to bits, before claiming its military might and dominance in the Mid East to the world.

Bring on two military ships (possibly carrying arms and ammo to arm Syria and Hezbollah, two of Israel’s arch enemies), and Israel suddenly turns into a beaten dog with its tail between its legs, whimpering and whining away.

That’s no way to behave like a tough guy everyone is supposed to be afraid of, which is Israel’s trademark (and adopted by SAF), is it?

=====

PS – a further note of interest is that Israel keeps killing Gazans, who are unarmed civilians and are unprotected. But they are very, very reserved when it comes to killing Lebanese (especially after it got buttkicked in the Israel-Hezbollah War 2006), who have the protection of the well armed Hezbollah.

Note the same display of cowardice and hypocrisy?

>US Sanctions are meaningless

Posted by Barrie on December 29, 2010

>I was working in the Energy Sector from the 1980s to 1990s, before moving to a different industry. During that era, US had quite a rocky relationship with Iran no thanks to the Iranian Revolution, as a result of American’s interference in Iranian affairs. It was then no surprise that there were sanctions against Iran imposed by the US.

Guess what? The biggest American Oil Company in the world I worked for was processing Iranian crude in Singapore when the sanctions were in effect. So for all the calls for sanctions by America on Iran, the American MNCs don’t really give a hoot.

Today, it is no different.

Hypocrisy – U.S. Approved Business With Blacklisted Nations: Still Doing Billions in Business with Iran

Despite sanctions and trade embargoes, over the past decade the United States government has allowed American companies to do billions of dollars in business with Iran and other countries blacklisted as state sponsors of terrorism, an examination by The New York Times has found.

At the behest of a host of companies — from Kraft Food and Pepsi to some of the nation’s largest banks — a little-known office of the Treasury Department has granted nearly 10,000 licenses for deals involving countries that have been cast into economic purgatory, beyond the reach of American business.

Let’s face it. For all the hot and cold air the US blows, the bottom line is $$$. If it makes good sense to do business with the Iranians, that’s what American MNCs will do. Short of that, American businesses will lose money and its economy will be affected.

I have always believed that all the crap talk by politicians is bravado and ego talk, which is only music for their supporters to hear. Remove those headphones from your ears, and will hear the real crap they are spewing. That includes all the crap talk the war mongering politicians tell you that the Mid East, that is Iran and some Arab nations (as well as parts of Central Asia), is the hotbed for terrorists.

In reality, it’s all about $$$ and zero about fighting terror.

In the mean time, UK thinks there’ll be war with Iran. Britain forms plan for Gulf evacuation in event of war with Iran

>Flotilla Fallout – Iran-Israel Showdown Next?

Posted by Barrie on June 8, 2010

>After the Terror Attacks on the Flotilla and the illegal pirate-like take over of the Rachel Corrie by Israeli Terrorists, it looks like the next fleet of ships heading towards Gaza may be from Iran.

Iran Red Crescent to send aid to Gaza

(CNN) — Iran’s Red Crescent Society will try to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza by sending food and medical supplies to the besieged Palestinian territory, an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said Monday.

Red Crescent official Abdul Rauf Adibzadeh said one shipment of relief goods will arrive in Gaza via Egypt by the end of the week, Iranian media reported.

The aid group is also preparing to send two relief ships to the coast of Gaza, including a hospital ship with doctors, nurses and operating rooms and another vessel with more relief goods like food and medication, the IRNA and Mehr news agencies reported.

Israel stopped a convoy of six ships trying to deliver aid to Gaza last week in defiance of an Israeli blockade, killing at least nine people in the course of boarding one of the vessels.

Adibzadeh said there is a possibility that Iranian Red Crescent ships may be attacked but added that, despite the danger, if the Iranian authorities approve, the shipments will be sent to Gaza.

Same news reported in this link – Iran Red Crescent to send two aid ships to Gaza

The above would most probably blow up an already a highly tensed situation in the Mediterranean. As if that is not enough, Iran is prepared to escort Aid to Gaza on future missions.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard offers to escort future Gaza aid vessels

Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards are ready to provide a military escort to cargo ships trying to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza, a representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Sunday.

“Iran’s Revolutionary Guards naval forces are fully prepared to escort the peace and freedom convoys to Gaza with all their powers and capabilities,” Ali Shirazi, Khamenei’s representative inside the Revolutionary Guards, was quoted as saying by the semi-official Mehr news agency.

The Flotilla issue is far from over.

>Ahmadinejad Turns the Tables on US and the Media

Posted by Barrie on May 6, 2010

>You just have to love (or hate) this guy – Ahmadinejad. There’s just no middle ground. He does it so elegantly, it makes Obama and GW Bush look incompetent.

In this post, we’ll see how Ahmadinejad even makes a joke out of the lies the media has been trying to concoct. Let’s look at the latest lie the Western powers (and media) try to sell you.

Osama bin Laden is ‘alive, well, and hunting falcons in Iran’, documentary claims – You know, the story is so unbelievable, I think it is more worth our time to read the comments for laughs, rather than the main article itself. Just look at how many readers in the comments section believe the news.

Oh yes, note that the Daily Mail did not quote its sources. Makes you wonder. So if a Newspaper is able to get such news, wouldn’t the CIA and FBI be interested?

Now why is it that it’s always the media that get wind of such news, while the Anti-Terror Agencies of US and UK are so screwed up, they can’t even get good leads?

That aside, here’s the part where Ahmadinejad turns the tables. This is Ahmadinejad’s response to the claim that Osama is in Iran.

Ahmadinejad: ‘Osama bin Laden is living in Washington’

“Rest assured that he’s in Washington. I think there’s a high chance he’s there,” the Iranian leader told ABC television in an interview.

Without backing up the claim, the Iranian leader said he had “heard” that bin Laden was in the US capital.

Hey, there was no backing up of the claim that Osama’s in Iran either!

“Yes, I did. He’s there. Because he was a previous partner of Mr. Bush,” he said referring to former President George W. Bush.

“They were colleagues, in fact, in the old days. You know that. They were in the oil business together. They worked together. Mr bin Laden never co-operated with Iran but he co-operated with Mr. Bush,” Mr Ahmadinejad said.

He added that, at any rate, US officials ought to know the extremist Islamic leaders whereabouts.

“The US government has invaded Afghanistan in order to arrest bin Laden. They probably know where bin Laden is. If they don’t know he is, why did they invade? Could we know the intelligence?” he asked ABC.

“First they should have tried to find his location, then invade, those who did not know about his location first they invaded and then they tried to find out where he is, is that logical?”

This guy makes sense. He has a point there.

Here’s a video clip showing Ahmadinejad’s response to an interviewer, pertaining to the claim Osama is in Iran. Sorry, I can’t find a way to embed it. You have to follow the link.

Funny Ahmadinejad Comment!“I love the way Ahmadinejad turns US foreign policy back on itself! But the smirking Stephanopolous is impossible to watch.”

Now that’s how a President of a Nation should carry himself! Quite unlike some American Presidents who make fools out of themselves. Like this one about Bushwacked and this one one on Oh, Bummer.

>This is the Beautiful Iran US wants to bomb into oblivion

Posted by Barrie on March 29, 2010

>The media tends to portray that Iran is nothing but a large desert wasteland (save for those oilfield$$$).

Below is a video clip that dispels all that. Now what if someone wanted to bomb YOUR beautiful country into oblivion?

Heck, didn’t US do that to Iraq? Didn’t US pillage the land of Beautiful and Historical Iraq, destroying centuries of history and stripped Iraqis of their history?

>If US strikes Iran, it has to do it without UK

Posted by Barrie on March 23, 2010

>Here’s a piece of news that reports that UK does not have the resource to engage a war with Iran. That’s because they are tied down in Afghanistan.

So if US wants to strike Iran, it has to do without its ally, UK.

Hey, now why must US strike Iran just because Israel says so? How about getting Israel to strike Iran itself if it is so bent on a war? Well, because Israel tested out a proxy war with Hamas (Iran’s proxy) some years back and it lost. If Israel could not win a guerrilla war, what more a full scale war?

UK ‘COULD NOT FIGHT A WAR WITH IRAN’

BRITAIN does not currently have the military resources to engage in a conflict with Iran, according to a leading defence analyst.

The warning comes after it emerged that RAF Tornado crews are getting barely 10 hours of flying time a month because of drastic cuts imposed by the Government to fund the war in Afghanistan.

This compares with 20 hours a month in the late Eighties, then considered as the “bare minimum for operational effectiveness”.

It follows a decision made in December by Defence Secretary Bob Ainsworth that the RAF is to lose a squadron to save cash – and one of the RAF’s seven Tornado squadrons may be in the firing line.

December’s cuts are the clearest indication that all of Britain’s military resources are geared towards the Afghan war.

Currently, Tornado squadrons are deployed there in three-month rotations. Crews receive plenty of flying time there, but it is cut drastically when they come home.

Andrew Brookes, head of The Air League, said: “When it comes to the RAF, it is not a question of trimming the fat. The RAF has been cut to the bone and all resources are being directed to Afghanistan. We are unable to take part in any other conflict that should suddenly occur.”

Iran’s efforts to develop nuclear capability, along with President Ahmadinejad’s boast that he would wipe Israel off the face of the earth, have caused alarm at Nato. Last week the Sunday Express revealed satellite images of a rocket launch site east of Tehran capable of firing nuclear-armed Simorgh missiles.

“There is no doubt that Iran is the single biggest emerging threat to Britain and to peace in the Middle East,” said Shadow Defence Secretary Liam Fox. “The Iranians must believe every option is on the table – including military action.”

Tim Ripley, a defence analyst at Jane’s, said: “In December the Government shed £900million from the budget. The cuts have affected our ability to engage with Iran.
“The bitter truth is that, with the exception of a nuclear strike, we would not be able to contribute to any conflict, even in a coalition.”

The MoD said: “In Afghanistan, crews fly about three times the rate as they would in the UK. The RAF concentrates the Tornado effort on safe flying that wholly supports operations in Afghanistan.”

Notice something? Even with all its resources concentrating on Afghanistan, UK is still not winning the war over there. Better pack and go home.

>Obama is Madder than Bush

Posted by Barrie on March 19, 2010

>So you guys thought that GW Bush was a madman, creating nothing but wars? Wait till you see what Obama has in store for you.

Here is news to show what the Obama MAdministration has done. It looks like it is preparing for WW3.

Final destination Iran?
Excerpts

Published on 14 Mar 2010
Hundreds of powerful US “bunker-buster” bombs are being shipped from California to the British island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean in preparation for a possible attack on Iran.

The Sunday Herald can reveal that the US government signed a contract in January to transport 10 ammunition containers to the island. According to a cargo manifest from the US navy, this included 387 “Blu” bombs used for blasting hardened or underground structures.

Experts say that they are being put in place for an assault on Iran’s controversial nuclear facilities. There has long been speculation that the US military is preparing for such an attack, should diplomacy fail to persuade Iran not to make nuclear weapons……

…..“They are gearing up totally for the destruction of Iran,” said Dan Plesch, director of the Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy at the University of London, co-author of a recent study on US preparations for an attack on Iran. “US bombers are ready today to destroy 10,000 targets in Iran in a few hours,” he added.

The preparations were being made by the US military, but it would be up to President Obama to make the final decision. He may decide that it would be better for the US to act instead of Israel, Plesch argued.

Two points I would like to make. Firstly, note that Obama acknowledges that Israel has been goading US to attack. Hmm. If Israel is so bent on attacking Iran, why doesn’t it bomb Iran itself? This confirms the belief many have – that Israel is pulling America’s strings.

Secondly, US warhawks think they are just picking up another war and this time it is with Iran. Dead wrong. Russia and China have vested interests in Iran. Those nuclear sites are Russia’s baby. That’s in addition to all the military and economic ties it has with Iran. As for China, it has large vested economic interests in Iran. Much of China’s oil comes from here. So to attack Iran is also attacking Russia and China.

WW3 coming?

Here are my past posts pertaining to America’s unceasing wardrum beat against Iran.

Link 1
Bomb Iran? Let’s lay out the cards (Part 1 – Military Perspective)
In the above link, I discussed how Russia has developed some of the most sophisticated weaponry and missiles. Most worrying to US would be Russia’s 3M80

Surface to Surface Missile 3M80 -
The Russians have manufactured the fastest surface to surface missile in the form of the Moskit 3M80. It travels between Mach 2 to Mach 3, faster than the speed of sound, and definitely faster than any current US-made missile. What the US should consider before striking Iran is that Russia has sold this technology to China, which has in turn, sold it to Iran.

Oooh….Iran has those nasty missiles?

Link 2
Bomb Iran? Let’s lay out the cards (Part 3 – Economic Perspective)
This link shows the strong economic ties Russia and China have with Iran, such that if Iran is attacked, there would be two very, very displeased giants.

So if you think Bush is mad starting two wars, Obama is crazier, eager to start another war which may well lead to World War 3.

>Israeli Gaffe – threatens Iran with nukes, confirming it has nukes!

Posted by Barrie on February 9, 2010

>The bozos in Israel, who have been calling on US and the world to bomb Iran to stop it from obtaining nukes, has threatened to nuke Iran, hence, an admission it has nukes.

Now that it is confirmed that Israel has nukes, how about bombing their nuclear site?

Israel Threating To Use Nuclear Weapons On Iran!

2:00 min mark –
If international effort does not stop Iran from enriching uranium, Israel would be forced to use tactical weapons including nukes.

5:00 min mark -
Israel and US feel that blockade in Gulf would be a tenable way to strangle Iran into submission. Also note the usual call for “regime change” or using the “people to overthrow the current govt”.

Say, this all sounds very familiar, no?

Why don’t these warhawks concentrate on repairing their own economy, instead of creating wars in lands of others, stealing their oil, to enrich themselves. Didn’t their mommies teach them that in order to succeed in life, you have to work hard and not steal other people’s things?

Oh, btw, since Israel has admitted to having nukes, we now have a legitimate reason for US, NATO or any country who feels threatened, to bomb Israel, wouldn’t it? After all, isn’t that the argument US and Israel have been giving to bomb Iran?

>US now provokes China

Posted by Barrie on February 2, 2010

>The world’s biggest terror nation is now provoking China – in an apparent move to infuriate the East nation, after failing to get it to support sanctions against Iran.

Israel has been goading US to bomb Iran, which US has been hesitant because it lacks the military power due to superior Russian technology, and strong economic support from both Russia and China.

US arms deal with Taiwan riles Beijing

CHINA yesterday moved swiftly to punish America for agreeing to sell Taiwan more than £4 billion worth of arms.

Furious over what it called an “odious” deal, the Communist regime in Beijing immediately suspended military exchanges with the US and ratcheted up its rhetoric.

China considers Taiwan to be an illegitimate breakaway province and jealously opposes any effort by leaders on the de-facto independent island to suggest otherwise.

In an official statement through the main state mouthpiece, the Xinhua news agency, the Chinese Ministry of Defence said: “Considering the severe harm and odious effect of US arms sales to Taiwan, the Chinese side has decided to suspend planned mutual military visits.”

At the same time, US has already started a new war with China – a war with words, that is.

Another U.S. War? Obama Threatens China and Iran

The possibility of yet another U.S. war became more real last week, when the Obama administration sharply confronted both China and Iran. The first aggressive act was performed by Obama’s Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, who “warned” China that it must support serious economic sanctions against Iran (an act of war).

Clinton said: “China will be under a lot of pressure to recognize the destabilizing effect that a nuclear-armedIran would have, from which they receive a significant percentage of their oil supply.”

The implication here is that China will be cut off from a major energy source if they do not support U.S. foreign policy — this, too, would equal an act of war.

A more direct military provocation occurred later when Obama agreed to honor a Bush-era military pact with Taiwan, a small island that lies off the mainland coast of China, and is claimed by China as its own territory. Taiwan has been a U.S. client state ever since the defeated nationalist forces fled there from China in the aftermath of the 1949 revolution. Taiwan has remained a bastion of U.S. intrigue and anti-China agitation for the past six decades. Obama has recently upped the ante by approving a $6.4 billion arms sale to Taiwan, including:

“… 60 Black Hawk helicopters, Patriot interceptor missiles, advanced Harpoon missiles that can be used against land or ship targets and two refurbished minesweepers.” (The New York Times, January 30, 2010).

The same article quotes a Chinese government official who responded, accurately, by calling the arms sale “… a gross intervention intoChina’s internal affairs, [and] seriously endanger[ing] China’s national security…” In 1962, When Russia supplied missiles to Cuba, nearFlorida’s coast, the U.S. interpreted this to be an act of war.

As always, US keeps interfering with other people’s internal affairs. But in this instance, it appears that US is preparing for a hostile confrontation with China because China is firmly behind Iran.

We already know that US has kicked off a new Cold War with Russia. Remember the Missile Defence Shield in Europe, provoking Russia? Remember how US gave implicit support for Georgia to invade South Ossetia (Russian terrain!)? Georgia of course got played out because when Russia responded tanks with super tanks, US just stood by. Told you never to trust the US when it comes to their military and political intent!

It appears that US is still pushing for ways to get involved in Iranian affairs. It has been argued before that when Bush started the “war on terror” with Afghanistan, followed by Iraq, the bigger picture was to get total control of the oil rich Mid East and Caspian areas. Iran was already on the pipeline for invasion. However, US got bogged down.

Of course, the world is not blind to America’s odious deeds and intention. Russia, which has more right to be concerned about the Middle East and Caspian region, due to its proximity, has already taken efforts to boost ties with Iran. The Russians are not stupid. They saw it coming. Likewise, China, Russia’s ally, took the opportunity to work with Iran to prevent total US control in the Mid East.

So what next? US can only mope, grope and hope that Russia and China relent and dump Iran. Fat chance. At least we have wise people in Russia and China who believe that wars are no good – unlike the morons in the White Whore(s) in Washington DC.

>US Blinks – Nyeh, nyeh-nyeh-nyeh, nyeh!

Posted by Barrie on January 18, 2010

>My four part series on America’s itch to bomb Iran centred on the point that US dares not attack Iran because it would be suicidal to do so. The main factor appears to be the strong support Russia and China have for Iran.

Putting it simply, if US goes to war with Iran, it would also be going to war with Russia and China. US finally blinked. Too bad for Israel now. If Israel truly wants to strike Iran, Godfather US won’t be around to do it for them.

Iran Six decides against new sanctions on Tehran

Iran Six participants holding a meeting in New York on Saturday decided against new sanctions on Tehran and will study new political methods to solve the issues, a Russian Foreign Ministry deputy said.

“We will look at which measures can be developed in order to stimulate political and diplomatic solutions to the problem at hand,” Sergei Ryabkov told journalists in New York after the meeting.

“This does not mean that we have made a decision in regard to [creating more] sanctions, this is the fulfillment of the mandate given by our ministers to complete a collective evaluation of the situation to decide what can be done further,” Ryabkov said.

Iran is under a number of UN sanctions because of its nuclear ambitions. The West believes Tehran is pursuing a nuclear program to make weapons, an accusation Iran has denied.

The Iran Six consists Russia, the U.S., China, Britain, France, and Germany.

NEW YORK, January 16 (RIA Novosti)

Wait a minute, US doesn’t even dare to push for more sanctions. What makes Israel think it can still goad the US to launch a strike on Iran?

It won’t be too long before Benyamin Netanyahu screams like a spoiled brat kid again, that Ahmadinejad wants to wipe his house off the map! Nyeh, nyeh-nyeh-nyeh, nyeh!
