Aware still living in the shadow of the past, denying it did grave wrong

Posted by Barrie on August 4, 2011

It is said if you don’t move ahead, you will slide backwards. That’s true in this world today. But looks like AWARE is very unaware of this. They seem to live in the past.

Battling over the moral meaning of gender equality

Excerpts:

The March 2009 takeover of AWARE by a group led by Thio Su-Mien and Josie Lau, and its takeback two months later, may be a harbinger of things to come. Understanding why and how it happened will go a long way towards being able to see these conflicts with a wider perspective.

March 2009 takeover? Aware is two years behind, no? Come on, move on! Nobody remembers Thio or Josie for that matter. Do you see them in the news today?

As it is, the AWARE conflict was seen by many as a clash between conservative Christianity and homosexuality. Indeed, the actors involved – a “new guard” motivated by Evangelical Christian antipathy to homosexuality on the one side, and an “old guard” with its secular ethos, allied with liberal and gay groups on the other – made such a reading almost inescapable.

Aware’s conflict seen by “many” as conflict between conservative Christianity and Homo? What about the part where parents were up in arms with AWARE, when it was discovered they stealthily introduced homo ideals to underage girls in schools? Why the total silence on that?

That it came only 18 months after the loud public debate about Section 377A of the Penal Code – which criminalises homosexual acts between men – in which the conservative side was also strongly identified with Evangelical Christianity, only led people to see the AWARE saga in the same light.

Please note that the loud debate is the result of the gay community themselves, when they pour a tirade against those who did not support repeal of S377A. If gays feel they have a right to ask for a repeal, why are they not respecting those who do not wish to support them?

Please also remember that years before that incident, a Muslim Minister no less, approved marriage between a person who has changed sex, with another person of his/her former gender. There was just a whimper from the Muslim community, and that too it was because it was a Muslim minister who approved that. The core argument WAS NOT against gay or queer practice in itself.

So if that could have gone smoothly, because the gay community did not howl then, why blame the Christians for not getting S377A, when it is because they howled too loud?

The rest of the article centres on the stale old argument, Christian Right vs Gay and Secularism vs Religion Stuff. It ends off with…

The author is an activist and commentator on socio-political issues who blogs at Yawning Bread. The book The AWARE Saga: Civil Society & Public Morality In Singapore is available for $28 at the AWARE Centre (Dover Crescent Block 5 #01-22).

So…. this article is just an advertisement for a worthless book that is sold for $28, huh?

You don’t need to spend your hard earned money on that hyped up book that dramatizes the takeover issue two years ago. That book tells you a very heavily lob-sided story. Hear it first hand from someone who was there at the EGM itself. I have put this article up, even challenged those who claimed to have attended the EGM to dispute the facts I reported. None has taken my challenge.

No need to spend $28. Get the facts free over here.

Sectarian Christians replaced by Sectarian Gays – So what’s the difference?
There are more facts that are revealed in the comments section than the main post itself, in the link above. It is an irony that the gay community, in trying to “explain” that it did not happen the way I described, exposed that it did happen the way I described!

So, Aware was a front for promotion of gay and lesbian lifestyle after all
This link contains important info which AWARE hides from you. It contains facts that are a precursor to the Aware takeover. Here, you will find that Aware was teaching girls as young as 12 in schools how to have sex, lesbian type sex included of course; (isn’t it a crime to have sex with an underage girl?). The topics included not only how as 12 year olds you can have sex, but also about homo and lesbian sex. Aware did it stealthily, covertly and deceitfully. This was the reason for Josie and gang to takeover Aware, something which AWARE keeps hiding from the public!

Aware’s Slant on Homosexuality and Comprehensive Sexual Education Programme
See for yourself Aware’s gay agenda – and how it infiltrated schools to teach girls, as young as 12 how to have sex, lesbian sex included. Isn’t Aware complicit in crime?

Aware’s Comprehensive Sexual Education Training Manual
This is the actual Trainer’s Manual which Aware has been trying to hide from the public.

Read the lurid details (short of calling it an intro to porno and homo ideals for young underage girls). Read how it was taught to your young daughters in schools how to have sex, sex, sex. This was the sex ed programme Aware taught IN SCHOOLS, before MOE rightfully dustbinned it.

Be reminded that it is a crime in Singapore to have sex with a girl under 16. Yet, we have Aware teaching these girls how to have sex at the age of 12? Isn’t this being complicit in crime? Note that Aware NEVER mentions this whenever it talks about its takeover. Small wonder, no?

CONCLUSION

1. Aware is still living in the past, “nostalgia-ing” about the takeover and re-takeover. Is this what you call a forward moving organisation?

2. Aware now tries to con you off your hard earned $28 with a useless book, which contains highly inaccurate pointers, lies and half truths.

3. Aware tries to deny that it has a gay agenda and instead, place blame squarely on the Christian right for its takeover.

4. Aware had actually successfully infiltrated MOE and the schools and even started teaching underage girls how to have sex, including homo ideals and lesbian sex. They did it covertly and stealthily. This was the real reason for Josie’s takeover of Aware.

5. The book Aware promotes fails to tell you the truth about #4 above.

6. By promoting a book that is about an event two years ago, which the public has long forgotten about, it shows that it is living in denial. They are denying that it was because of its gay agenda and odious sex programmes in schools, teaching underage girls odious sex, that caused the takeover. Aware is living in the shadow of the past, and living in denial that it did grave wrong to the public.

==============

PS – I find it an irony that:

- Aware denies that it has a gay agenda. Yet time and time again, it gets its support mainly from the gay community (the EGM included!). Note that the article I linked at the very top is from a gay author.

- Aware purports to represent women in Singapore. But time and time again, it appears more bent on telling the world that it went through an invasion of onslaught from the Christian right – a typical gay argument. How do you expect support, if you keep a hostile attitude towards the Christians, which forms a significant portion of the community?

>Underage lesbian sex crime case looks like a product right out from Aware’s CSE!

Posted by Barrie on March 21, 2011

>If you recall the Aware Saga, their odious comprehensive sex ed (CSE) programme in schools encouraged sexual activity among young girls. It is a crime in Singapore to have sexual relations with a girl below 14 in Singapore. Yet, Aware’s sex programme encouraged sex for girls as young as 12! The programme also encouraged homosexual relationships.

Here is an article from the ST related to a sex crime. The perpetrator is an adult woman and the victim an underage girl. This crime looks like a product manufactured right out of Aware’s odious sex ed programme!

Woman pleads guilty to obscene acts

A 22-year-old woman pleaded guilty on Wednesday to two counts of committing a sexual act on an underage girl, in what is believed to be the first case of its kind in Singapore.

The court heard that the woman first committed the act on the girl in November 2008 at a staircase landing of a multi-storey carpark.

She later performed a similar act on the girl in a room at Siloso Beach Resort in Sentosa in 2009. The woman, who is a student, cannot be named to protect the girl’s identity.

In both cases, the acts were performed on the then-13-year-old girl with her consent. The girl’s mother soon learnt about her daughter’s relationship with the woman and alerted the authorities.

Deputy Public Prosecutor S Sellakumaran said the girl’s classmate first introduced the youngster to the woman in November 2007.

They became good friends after meeting each other face-to-face at the girl’s birthday party later that month. Two months later, they entered into a homosexual relationship, added DPP Sellakumaran.

Soon after this, the woman would pick her up from school whenever the girl’s mother was unable to do so.

Defence Counsel Paul Tan urged the court to put his client on probation. He said the woman was 19 years old when she first became the girl’s partner and the two of them were very close to each other.

However, District Judge Low Wee Ping said the fact that the girl consented to the act may not be relevant. He stressed that the offence involved a young girl who is protected by the law.

Judge Low has called for a pre-sentence probation report and the woman will be back in court on April 18. If convicted of the offence, for each charge, she could be jailed up to two years, fined a maximum of 5,000 dollars or both.

Aware, when caught with their pants down with the odious sex ed programme, felt no guilt that they were complicit in promoting a crime by teaching underage girls to have sex. In fact, Aware’s programme encouraged underage sex when it taught underage girls how to have sex.

Here is a flashback to the Aware Saga and its odius programmes that were taught in schools to underage girls, before MOE dustbinned their odious programme for good.
Urgent Message to all Concerned Parents and other Responsible Citizens

Here is Aware’s Trainers’ Manual that was used before their programme was dustbinned.
Aware’s Sex Ed Trainers’ Manual

Isn’t all this encouragement to have sex, sex, sex taught to girls as young as 12 having an effect on society now?

Incidentally, Aware’s odious conditioning on young minds is NOT isolated. In the so called developed countries, even the Girl Guide Movement is encouraging underage sex!
Stunning Similarity Between Aware’s CSE and Girl Guide Literature

All this idea of free sex taught to young girls have an adverse effect on society. While many so called developed countries have “laws” that protect minors from sex crimes, they are actually ineffective. That’s because if an underage boy has sex with an underage girl, that’s seen as no crime by society.

Big problem is because of that, the law enforcers in those so called developed countries do not wish to get involved so readily if an underage girl gets pregnant. In Singapore, if an underage girl gets pregnant, the police will investigate, regardless how young that boy who impregnated her may be. But in the so called developed nations, they don’t act.

Alarmingly, a group of Feminists in Singapore wants to have that law that protects underage girls changed. They want the law that makes it illegal for anyone to have sex with girls below 14 reviewed. Read this post.
Crazy Ideal Feminists Campaign For

If the above is amended, it will no longer automatically protect girls under 14 from rape. A boy of 13 can have sex with a girl 11, make her pregnant and claim she consented.

These crazy group of feminists, because they want to promote free sex to underage children, are willing to sacrifice the very underage girls the law in Singapore protects.

This kind of rubbish from these unthinking feminists will have an adverse effect on society. A society that teaches the over glorifying of free sex to children is that it creates the perfect hunting ground for pedophile adults to entrap young girls into the world of underage sex. Here link I put up on America’s sex trade where girls as young as 11 or 12 are groomed by pimps.
Child Prostitution in US – and feminists do nothing about it

In these so called developed countries, they have programmes that teach underage girls that sex is to be enjoyed such that it creates a situation where if an ill-intentioned sex criminal grooms the underage girl for sex, she has already been desensitized to it, she won’t raise any alarm.

As such, a society that promotes sex, sex, sex to underage girls is actually the perfect hunting ground for pedophiles.

Back to Singapore. So why didn’t the underage girl raise the alarm earlier? Is it she has been desensitized to the fact that an adult touching her intimately is acceptable? Especially if the adult is of the same gender?

Before I end this post, let me remind readers that Aware is still not finished with its odious programmes about sex and homosexuality. Here is yet another post I put up to support my claim.
Parents Beware! AWARE pushing gay agenda in schools – again!

Let’s all be vigilant and keep our society free of any ill-intentions from pedophiles preying on our young daughters and children.

>Temasek Review fooled by PM Lee’s "Astroturfing" Dummy

Posted by Barrie on March 28, 2010

>You may laugh at PM Lee Hsien Loong, because he’s a dud. He has (mis)handled many cases. In many instances, where he’s supposed to comment, he didn’t. You see all other ministers giving their opinions, but not him. Only when the dust has settled, he makes an appearance.

Temasek Review (TR) has made that point many times. But a politician is a politician. No matter how, if you are a non-politician sparring with a politician, you will end up looking a bigger dud than he does. And so that is what PM Lee has done to TR.

Here is an excerpt of an article from Temasek Review purporting what PM Lee said.
PM Lee warns of “astroturfing” to pressurize the government for personal benefits 1 year after AWARE saga

Written by Our Correspondent

Almost a year after the AWARE saga which rocked the entire nation, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong finally realized that his administration was “duped” by “astroturfers” into making hasty decisions about the sexual education programme conducted by AWARE.

“Astroturfing” refers to the creation of a fake grassroots or “people power” movement. The term for fake “grassroots” organising originates from a product called Astroturf, which is a plastic fake grass carpet-like product commonly used in baseball and football.

In the aftermath of the divisive AWARE EGM on 2 May 2009, an online petition started by a C F Khoo garnered over 7,000 signatures in less than a week, forcing MOE to suspend Aware’s Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE) indefinitely.

Speaking at a REACH forum yesterday, PM Lee said he received many emails from opposing camps during the AWARE saga which were identical and obviously cut and pasted from a template.

Did PM Lee really say that? Or is there some mis-reporting by TR? Here’s the version from Channel News Asia.

PM Lee on govt’s approach in engaging S’poreans in new media

SINGAPORE: Singapore’s Prime Minister has said that while the government is keen to engage Singaporeans, what goes online needs to be assessed “critically and carefully”.

Mr Lee Hsien Loong’s comments come as new media increasingly becomes the choice of communication and networking.

This is an age when events in the real world often transcend the digital world.

Citing the leadership tussle by Singapore women’s group AWARE, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong noted how easy it is to mount online campaigns.

He said he received many emails from opposing camps.

“Many of the emails were identical. Exactly the same letter, word for word. Obviously somebody cut and pasted from a template,” Mr Lee said.

“That’s not just my surmise. It’s a fact because some of them didn’t fully cut and paste so if you read till the bottom of the letter, you will see down there the rubric is still there. The rubric says please enter your name and IC number and send this to the PM.”

Ooooh, what a difference! Now before I come to the part how PM Lee fooled Temasek Review, let us look at how TR fooled itself first. Here are the points where TR goofed.

1. LHL was referring to emails and NOT the REACH portal parents used to garner over 7000+ signatures. LHL said that phone numbers and IC numbers turned out to be fake, but the REACH portal petition NEVER had any phone numbers or IC numbers to start with. Hence, TR assumed PM Lee meant the REACH portal.

2. LHL cited the AWARE case and said that there were many emails from OPPOSING camps – and many were duplicates. TR manipulated those words to mean the REACH portal petition was the one LHL meant.

So, from the start of TR’s article, there was already dishonest and misrepresented news. Say…..isn’t this what TR has been complaining about PAPpy’s mass media all along? Hmmm…

All right. Now let’s look at LHL’s Dummy which TR fell for. This has got to be real cool. Below is a continuation of the Channel News Article.

Hence, Mr Lee said that in this instance, it is not independent feedback, but an organised campaign to lobby and pressure the government to back one side against the other.

He said the government cannot make decisions simply based on the volume of emails supporting or opposing a particular situation.

He added the government must also be cautious of what’s called “Astroturfing” campaigns.

“People talk about grassroots feedback but this technique is called Astroturf,” he said. “That means you make it look like grass but actually you planted the plastic all over the field. Fake identities and you orchestrate a campaign”.

He pointed to recent emails circulating, criticising the government on property prices.

“(The critics) always end up saying that the government must bring down the property prices quickly, sharply, immediately, or else after the next election (they) will stop supporting (us).”

Mr Lee said upon verifying the emails, the names, phone and even IC numbers attached turned out to be fake.

“This was clearly not a straight forward feedback consultation discussion dialogue, but a covert attempt to pressure the government for perhaps personal benefits and in the process also to confuse the public as to what Singaporeans think.”

Mr Lee noted though, that online feedback can be useful, as seen in REACH’s digital platform.

Since REACH expanded on its online platforms, it has received more feedback.

Note that LHL immediately moved away from the topic of AWARE and moved to the topic of feedback online. Note how he comments that many online feedbacks may not be reliable. So we cannot depend on numbers.

Here’s the whammer. TR, thinking that PM Lee is referring to the REACH Portal feedback on AWARE’s saga last year (but obviously not because the REACH online petition is definitely not an email petition), puts up the article to highlight that there is astroturfing going online and that meant the REACH petition against AWARE was a fake.

Baaaaad move, TR. Not only did PM Lee did not mean that (because I have shown you he DID NOT mean the REACH portal petition which Mr Khoo started), but he actually simply said that there is a lot of fake feedback going on the internet and hence, cannot be relied on. Furthermore, PM Lee appears to be saying, don’t believe all those lies from online feedback, but believe in the REACH Portal put up by PAP!

The slap in the face for TR is that TR has been claiming for weeks, how much hits it got, how much support it garnered, how well its site is received – even the number of hits surpassed REACH – but all that is just “astroturfing” as far as PM Lee is concerned.

But the bigger slap in the face is the one TR gave itself – by putting up its own article, which appears to be IN AGREEMENT with PM Lee, that this is all just astroturfing – and that the REACH Portal is the trustworthy one!

What a joke! So here is a case of PM Lee saying all TR’s efforts is bull, and TR confirms that PM says it is bull and it agrees. TR did not realize it was taken for a ride! And what was the bait? The AWARE Saga petition!

Say what you like about the PAP. They may be dirty bastards. But when it comes to politics, they have finesse. And the fact that PAP is sharp enough to know that its opponents would take up the bait, when PM Lee mentions Aware, is clearly shown with TR’s own slap in the face!

I worked with the PAP machinery years ago. I know that when it comes to politics, they have the finesse no one can match. TR, being made up of just a bunch of nerds who think they are smart, have been outwitted with class.

Read the rest of the article from Channel News Asia. See if it has anything to do with the AWARE saga at all – or some words that actually implicate that all the feedback PAP’s opponents have been trumpetting the last weeks are to be ditched because of astroturfing.

Congratulations TR for being a fool. Two weeks ago you were fooled by Gopalan Nair. This week, by PM Lee. Wanna a mirror to see how clownish you nerds look?

>Stunning Similarity Between Aware’s CSE and Girl Guide Literature

Posted by Barrie on March 15, 2010

>We all know that AWARE is under the influence of foreign parties, in particular the LGBT group. That came to light when their Comprehensive Sexual Programme (CSE) in schools was exposed. See this link: Links to AWARE’s CSE

Below is a post from a blog (looks like from a concerned parent) that indicates the Girl Guides Association has been used to promote sexual promiscuity, at UN Meeting!

Note the stark similarities to AWARE’s covert CSE in schools:
- Any kind of sex will do (anal and even same gender implicated)
- Sex is taught to young girls as young as 10!
- “Love yourself, love sex, love yourself, love sex” mantra taught
- Explicit details telling young girls all they need to know about sex

Here is the link:
Not your mother’s Girl Scouts

Warning: explicit content!
I never imagined the day would come when I would have to issue a content alert when talking about Girl Scout literature, but sadly that day has arrived.

The Girl Scouts celebrate their 98th anniversary today (March 12), having been founded by Juliette Low, the former fiancee of Sir Robert Baden Powell, the founder of the Boy Scouts in 1912.

Here is the longstanding Girl Scout oath: “On my honor, I will try: to do my duty to God and my country, to help other people at all times, to obey the Girl Scout laws.”

Well, the new and improved World Association of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides hosted a panel at the UN this week. The first thing organizers did was kick all the adults out of the room so that Planned Parenthood could distribute – to adolescent girls, mind you – a brochure entitled, “Healthy, Happy and Hot.”

The brochure includes graphic and explicit sexual details, and promotes every kind of casual sex. Here’s a charming excerpt:

“Sex can feel great and can be really fun! Many people think sex is just about vaginal or anal intercourse… But, there are lots of different ways to have sex and lots of different types of sex. Sex can include kissing, touching, licking, tickling, sucking, and cuddling. Some people like to have aggressive sex, while others like to have soft and slow sex with their partners. There is no right or wrong way to have sex. Just have fun, explore and be yourself!”

In case that wasn’t enough information for these impressionable young girls, the brochure leaves little to the imagination:

“Improve your sex life by getting to know your own body. Play with yourself! Masturbation is a great way to find out more about your body and what you find sexually stimulating. Mix things up by using different kinds of touch from very soft to hard. Talk about or act out your fantasies. Talk dirty to them.”

The pamphlet even includes a helpful section on how to prepare for sex when you know you’re planning to get drunk first.

Where all this fits with the “doing my duty to God” and “help(ing) other people at all times” was apparently never explained.

The Girl Scouts, in other words, seem determined to aid and abet the girls in their charge to find as many ways as humanly possible to violate the organization’s time-honored oath.

In response to the disastrous moral drift of the Girl Scouts, Patty Garibay, a former Girl Scout leader, founded American Heritage Girls in 1995. Their oath? “I promise to love God, Cherish my family, Honor my country, and Serve in my community.”

What sets them apart from the Girl Scouts is that when American Heritage Girls take the oath, they actually mean it. And the adults in their world are committed to help them live up to it.

Planned Parenthood Distributes Graphic Sex Guide at Girl Scouts UN Meeting
Excerpt:

The brochure also tells students that national laws requiring HIV-positive people to reveal their status to their partner(s) “violate the rights of people living with HIV” and calls for advocacy to “change laws that violate your rights.” It explains, “There are many reasons that people do not share their HIV status. … They may worry that people will find out something else they have kept secret, like they are using injecting drugs, having sex outside of a marriage or having sex with people of the same gender.”

The Girl Scouts, along with the YMCA have been co-moderating a young women’s caucus that included an “Intergenerational Conversation” side event on “universal access” and “reproductive health.” One recent Girl Scout project “aims at securing the right of women, men and adolescents aged between ten and twenty-five, to better reproductive and sexual health.”

Also at CSW last week, the heads of various powerful UN agencies, including the UN Population Fund, UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), UN Children’s Fund and the World Health Organization released a “UN Joint Statement” under the name of the “UN Adolescent Girls Task Force,” which calls for their agencies to promote and support programs “that empower … adolescent girls, particularly those aged 10 to 14 years.” One of the chief priorities for empowerment is ensuring access to “life-skills based sexuality education, HIV prevention, and sexual and reproductive health.”

The New York Times recently reported that the UN Population Fund had co-sponsored a very controversial curriculum with UNESCO, that included teaching children as young as five to be sexually active and training adolescents to advocate for abortion.

It is no over-statement when it is said that AWARE has been infiltrated by foreign parties that promote promiscuity and LGBT-type agenda.

>Still no remorse, shame or guilt from AWARE

Posted by Barrie on February 7, 2010

>Aware quits sex programme

Aware president Dana Lam told The Sunday Times that it ‘has not offered CSE to the MOE’ for vetting.

She said that the programme has been ‘badly misrepresented by a few people who have had no experience with it’.

Badly misrepresented? How? It was presented by Josie and gang, very clearly, that Aware’s CSE had homo content in it. It was AWARE that admitted the CSE trainer’s manual was not meant for public eyes – confirming the covertness of the programme.

Aware is unrepentant and shows no remorse in spite being caught red-handed that it taught young girls odious ideals, and kept it away from parents, as well as from MOE.

>International guidelines on sex education reignite debate

04 September 200

SINGAPORE: A foreign controversy, over a set of proposed international guidelines on sex education, threatens to reignite the debate that raged just six months ago over Singapore’s own sexuality education programme in schools.

The guidelines, scheduled to be released by UNESCO next week, are aimed at reducing HIV infections among the young, and will be distributed to education ministries and school systems around the world.

But an earlier draft issued in June was attacked by conservative and religious groups, mainly in the United States, for recommending discussions of homosexuality, describing sexual abstinence as “only one of a range of choices available to young people” – and even suggesting a discussion of masturbation with children as young as five, reported the New York Times.

When contacted by TODAY, a Ministry of Education (MOE) spokeswoman said: “We will be studying the revised guidelines to see how useful and relevant they are to the current review of Sexuality Education in our schools.”

Two civil society groups expressed contrasting views.

Ms Dana Lam, president of the Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE), felt UNESCO’s guidelines affirmed AWARE’s own Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) programme, which was suspended by the MOE in May.

Ms Lam said the UNESCO guidelines, which took an “evidence-informed and rights-based” approach, offered “a sound, comprehensive approach to sexuality education”.

The emphasis “on relationships, values, attitudes, culture, human development, sexual and reproductive health exactly matches the emphasis” in AWARE’s CSE programme, she added.

The latter was suspended after parents objected to the programme’s explicit content, and the MOE found it conveyed messages “which could promote homosexuality or suggest approval of pre-marital sex”.

Going forward, the ministry signalled that sexuality education should “adhere to social norms and values of our mainstream society”; while Education Minister Ng Eng Hen said it should encourage heterosexual married couples to have healthy relationships and stable families.

Focus on the Family’s senior vice-president, Mrs Chong Cheh Hoon, was opposed to the UNESCO guidelines.

Apart from questioning their US-centrism and bias, she found some of the content “highly inappropriate”, such as teaching children aged nine to 12 about basic contraception.

“This is like telling our kids not to smoke and yet providing them with cigarette filters,” she said.

In the material recommended for ages 12 to 15, the guidelines advise the youth to practise safe and consensual sex “if sexually active”. But, Mrs Chong countered, this was inconsistent messaging – since countries like Singapore have statutory rape laws covering those up to age 14.

UNESCO experts have been working on the guidelines for two years, reportedly drawing on more than 80 studies of sex education. But conservative flak has already caused one of the project’s key participating agencies, the United Nations Population Fund, to pull back, said NYT.

UNESCO has defended its guidelines as “evidence-informed and rights-based”. Its guidelines also argue that sex education helps to delay the onset of sexual activity, reduce the number of sexual partners and unprotected sex.

“In the absence of a vaccine for AIDS, education is the only vaccine we have,” said Mr Mark Richmond, UNESCO’s global coordinator for HIV and AIDS.

He added that just 40 per cent of youth aged 15 to 24 “have accurate knowledge” of how the disease is transmitted.

Because of the AWARE saga, we now know that Singapore has already been infiltrated by the gay pride. Their agenda is to start them young – in schools. I have time and again, said that there is foreign interference concerning our domestic affairs, as far as teaching our children about sexuality is concerned. The links and evidence are in the past Aware threads in this blog.

Last week, we have seen how The Kent Ridge Common used its publication to promote gay lifestyle to our youth. Despite the publisher’s denial, the evidence is all over the place. Read the comments section in the article below and judge yourself.

Failing to get our young children, the gays are now after the youth

As parents, we must be vigilant. Before the AWARE saga, I was willing to live and let live. But it looks like the gays are not satisfied with having their space. They want MORE. They want YOUR CHILDREN to be like them too.

Gays in Singapore are having foreign help. It was seen during the AWARE saga. The unofficial voice of the opposition in some websites appear to have been involved too. So has the Mainstream Media like the Straights Times.

Look at what these gays are trying to teach our children.

- That homo is normal and fun.

- Teaching consensual sex to girls as young as 12, notwithstanding it is against the law to have sex at that age.

- Teaching about “safe or safer” sex, but not stressing that abstinence or loyalty to spouse are the ONLY GUARANTEED methods to avoid STD and that condoms are no guarantee.

Is not the above Aware’s CSE? Is this not the blueprint of gay arguments around the world? Are gays in Singapore not getting outside help?

Dana does not realise that parents in Singapore do not wish to follow what the rest of the (un?)civilized developed nations are doing – ie promoting promiscuity. There really is nothing developed or civilized, behaving like animals having sex with anyone you fancy. The fact that she is willing to quote a foreign party and use that as a support, shows she is willing to accept foreign assistance to advance her odious gay agenda.

Parents must fight back. I am no longer willing to live and let live. This is WAR. Again, if gays want to have their private space, that is OK with me. But it is now very clear they are not satisfied with that. They want MORE. They want OUR CHILDREN and GRANDCHILDREN to embrace their vice.

Just one more point about “safe sex”. Gays use the argument that teaching abstinence and being loyal to spouse does not work. As if teaching about using condoms does! In spite of teaching about condoms, many youngsters and gays still do not use them. So if the argument is that teaching abstinence does not work, then teaching “safe sex” also does not too!

Abstinence has been the guardian against STDs and Aids for centuries. Condoms are not guaranteed. So why is abstinence struck off from the sexual education programmes?

In conclusion, we have to remain vigilant. For sure, AWARE is trying to make a comeback with its odious programmes, teaching young girls as young 12 to have sex (never mind it is against the law). It is also trying to attempt to teach that homo and anal sex are normal.

As parents, let’s keep our eyes and ears open wide.

More young girls have sex

IT IS a sign of the times – More girls aged below 14 are having sex. The police have now tabbed this as a worrying crime issue, and are trying to keep a lid on the problem.

Crime statistics issued on Wednesday for the first half of the year showed that the number of statutory rape cases involving girls under 14 jumped more than 70 per cent, to 37 cases, compared with 21 in the same period last year.

Consensual sex was often at the heart of the problem. Many of the girls had sex with casual friends and boyfriends, most of whom were about the same age. But when the girls’ parents, or in some cases, teachers, found out, they were determined that action be taken, and reported the cases to the police.

When the cases went to court, a variety of punishments was dished out. If the culprits were youngsters, they were fined, sent for reformative training, given probation or even jailed, said Mr Patrick Tan, a lawyer in private practice.

In one case involving a 19-year-old youth and a 12-year-old girl, the youth was fined $8,000. But if older men were involved, more severe sentences were handed down. For instance, one 32-year-old man who had sex with a 12-year-old girl he met through a friend was jailed for seven years and ordered to be caned 18 times.

The girls involved in such cases were not punished, even if they initiated the sex, lawyers said. But they were sometimes counselled or sent to homes.

But beyond landing those involved in trouble with the law, teen sex also caused other problems. Many such trysts led to unwanted pregnancies, abortions and a rise in the number of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV cases.

Last year, 787 teens caught STIs, more than three times the 238 in 2002. For HIV, the figure rose from one in 2002 to nine in 2007. The total number of teenage abortions last year was 1,289.

On Wednesday, police said the increase in statutory rape offences was linked to wider societal trends, and they were working with various ministries, including the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, to come up with programmes to educate youths on the legal and social consequences of underage sex.

In their statement on Wednesday, police called on parents, schools and others to play a role in combating such crimes. ‘Care should be taken by families to pay attention to the activities of their younger members, as most of the perpetrators in such cases were known to the victims,’ the statement said.

This reminds me of how AWARE and the gay community tried to justify AWARE’s CSE as a much needed education programme. They say that those who oppose the programme are not realistic and that the “abstinence only” idea won’t work.

The majority of those who oppose to the above call for FULL DISCLOSURE of facts to be made known to youngsters, including HIV transmission and the law that governs sex amongst youngsters. This is in addition to the fact that many parents oppose to the values AWARE’s CSE taught that homo and anal sex is wrong.

Since we have extensively covered the homo and anal sex part of AWARE’s CSE during the AWARE saga, I shall concentrate this post on the lack of information, on the part of AWARE, to include the law.

It appears that AWARE was very irresponsible that it did not highlight the laws governing sex, to the young girls they were teaching, some of them as young as 12 years old. The push for “safe sex” was so important to them, they missed the bigger picture – that sex with girls under 14 is a crime in itself.

So why did AWARE not highlight this very important point? It appears to me that AWARE was actually pushing the point that to have sex, even as young as 12 years old, is fun, is cool, and is the right thing to do!

Using the CSE as a guise that it was to promote “safe sex” to underage girls, yet at the same time not highlighting the crime these girls would be in collaboration with their sex partners, AWARE had actually endorsed a criminal activity.

As always, I am open to comments. However, please get my point right before criticizing what I wrote. Don’t say I am against sex education in schools. My point is that there should be FULL DISCLOSURE to these youngsters – social ills that come along with free sex as well as the law. My point is also sex education should not be used as a guise to covertly slip in odious values.

>Straits Times is flogging a dead horse

Posted by Barrie on May 29, 2009

>Today, in the Forum Section of the Straits Times, there are no fewer than four letters from the public commenting on the takeover of Aware orchestrated by Thio Su Mien.

It appears that the ST is flogging a dead horse. While the public is more concerned about the old guard’s stealth and covert approach to introduce the idea of homosexuality in schools, the ST is more concerned about playing up the “Christian element” in the Aware takeover.
Here are the 4 links to the four letters in the ST Forum, flogging the dead horse.
Here is the REAL ISSUE, which parents are concerned about, which ST ignores.

>A Drowning Gay will clutch any straw – even if it’s up his nose

Posted by Barrie on May 22, 2009

>The final nail has been driven into the coffin of AWARE’s CSE. MOE has made in no uncertain terms AWARE’s CSE is against MOE’s guidelines. Yet, in spite of this crystal clear statement, made more than once, gays and pro-gays have been desperately clutching to whatever they have to their darling CSE, the cornerstone of the gays’ agenda to penetrate into schools.

Here is my list of the straw clutchers.

Demonizer of the family unit
I pick Glass Castle for this title. This nomination is backed up by Jolene’s post over here.
http://www.glass-castle.org/blog/2009/05/familys-like-loaded-gun.html
A family’s like a loaded gun

In the article above, Jolene demonizes the family unit, making it akin to a loaded gun. Note the vile and venom targeting the parent in her article. Of course, Jolene makes no attempt to offer an alternative institution besides the family unit. Hence, reinforcing the point that gays and pro-gays are not only anti-family, but also devoid of ideas how individuals should be brought up in society, if there is no family unit.

Demonizer of the Educational Institution
This title goes to Mathia Lee, the now ex-facilitator of AWARE’s CSE. See her article below.
http://mathialee.wordpress.com/2009/05/22/child-sex-predation-in-singapore-the-need-for-cse/
Child Sex Predation in Singapore & the need for CSE

Note that in the article above, she introduces how a male teacher sexually harassed some female students. Somehow, she managed to slot in her status on the CSE saga. Here is an excerpt of the post above.

Because I can no longer talk to teen girls directly. Today I read this “For these reasons stated, we (MOE) will not be able to use AWARE until they have gained the public’s trust for their sexuality programmes.”

http://www.moe.gov.sg/media/speeches/2009/05/21/remarks-by-dr-ng-eng-hen-on-se.php

And I know how much that CSE class would have benefited me 10 years ago, if I had access to an external third-party who made it comfortable for me to tell my story, and whom I knew would have found a way to help us.

Note how she tries to justify how CSE helps girls from being sexually harassed. Now what has teaching homo and anal sex is natural got to do with sexual harassment? Can’t girls be taught about sexual harassment WITHOUT teaching homo is natural?

I am victim, hear me roar
Poor, poor Kum Hong, who is the victim of libel, slander and malicious deeds. Kum Hong thought he was smart when he volunteered to be Aware’s advisor, only to turn tail when things don’t turn his way. By playing victim, he hopes to get sympathy from the public that fighters of gay rights are always neglected and harassed.

We did no wrong
Dana Lim, the incorrigible current AWARE President doesn’t even feel she has done anything wrong. She feels that it is her right to tell parents to butt off, when in fact MOE has told her to butt off.

When things go wrong, collect all the straws up gays’ noses and build a straw man
This one has to go to Mr Wang of mrwangsaysso. Yes, Asian values are meaningless. Er, how does that show the AWARE’s CSE has not infringed into parents’ territory?

Use of condom not promoted in sex education classes! Er, how does that address the fact that abstinence, the MOST EFFECTIVE prevention of STD and Aids has been downplayed?

Ignore, ban, moderate, ignore, ban, moderate
Yes, you all know who I am referring to – The Online Gay Citizen. No need to give you examples or explanation to support this one.

Teaching sex is unnatural is teaching children to discriminate gays
Pathetic argument by the gay community at large. Homo is UNNATURAL. It is nature’s design that the male organ is suited for the female organ in order for the human race to procreate. It is nature’s design that the rectum and anus is for pooping and not for sex.

It is NOT designed that two males mate, nor it is designed that two females mate. There is NO natural benefit to humankind for engaging anal sex or homo in the natural context.

Nature, the ultimate arbitrator in this homo dispute has spoken. Nature says homo is UNNATURAL. Yet homos still claim it is natural.

Having failed to convince society that homo is natural, gays now say that teaching children homo is unnatural is discrimination against gays. What a pathetic argument.

Can’t we teach children homo is unnatural but gays are not to be discriminated, if they choose to be gays? Wouldn’t that solve the problem of discrimination?

Warp the story
I leave this one last because this has to be the one that takes the cake. Even when everyone now knows MOE is displeased with AWARE pertaining to its CSE, The Gay Times warped that message to mean Dr Ng Eng Hen is directing his frustrations at AWARE’s rivals.

AWARE Rivals Slammed
http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_380132.html

Aware rivals slammed? Is that the crux of Dr Ng’s statement? Really? You can trust that The Gay Times, which has been promoting GLBT agenda throughout the AWARE saga, would do something like that.

So there it is folks. A drowning gay (or pro-gay) will clutch at any straw (including the ones shoved up their noses), to stay afloat.

Face it gays (and pro-gays). AWARE’s CSE is as good as dead. Don’t push it any further. Just accept your fate.

Before I sign off, here is what I have to say about Dr Ng Eng Hen’s speech -
http://theonlinecitizen.com/2009/05/it-was-an-internal-document-says-education-minister-on-awares-instructors-guide/comment-page-1/#comment-75716

“It was an internal document…internal documents are internal documents. If you don’t show them to MOE, we will not know about them.” -

Education Minister Ng Eng Hen, when asked if his ministry was caught by surprise by the content of the instructor’s guide for the Aware programme – which, among other things, declared homosexuality as ‘perfectly normal’.

What Dr Ng is saying is:
“AWARE stabbed us in the back(side). We didn’t see it cumming.”
